Walk into Springtime - Torrey Pines Reserve

Walk Into Springtime, my new just off the easel painting,  reflects a couple taking a leisurely walk immersed into the wildflower bonanza of Spring.

The request was for a painting of Torrey Pines, in San Diego, a beautiful reserve on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  In Springtime, and especially this year with abundant rainfall, the Preserve seemed to explode with wildflowers, so that was the time of year I decided to paint. I do love doing commissions, but also discuss with the collector,  allowing me "artist's license" to create the joy I see and feel in my painting, and why.  When the client knows why I require "artist license", the answer is always yes. I believe commissions come out so much better, when I am creating the feeling of a place.
